FALMOUTH, ME — July 15, 2005 — Launch Momentum LLC, a company that helps technology innovators create value and accelerate the process of turning their ideas into successful businesses, announces that its president, Mark Waite, was named Angel of the Year by MESDA: Maine’s Software & Information Technology Association. The award, part of MESDA’s annual Geeks in Black ceremony to honor leaders in Maine’s technology community, honors an individual who has contributed to the economic development of Maine’s technology community by attracting new capital, investing in or loaning capital to local technology companies.

Together with partner Dan Martin, Mark Waite founded Launch Momentum in 2003 to help companies benefit from his experience of developing an innovative technology concept into a successful technology company. The company signed with Launch Momentum to help it commercialize its technology, taking advantage of Launch Momentum’s business development, marketing, financial, and engineering expertise to bring its patented technology to market.
