FALMOUTH, ME — April 21, 2004 —Launch Momentum LLC, a company that helps technology innovators create value and accelerate the process of turning their ideas into successful businesses, announces that David Hiatt has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer.

“David brings a wealth of experience in financial and business operations to Launch Momentum,” says Mark Waite, president of Launch Momentum. “His expertise will help our customers build successful technology businesses."

Hiatt has more than 25 years of experience in high-technology companies developing capital structures and transactions, implementing financial and business operations, and building successful technology businesses. His role at Launch Momentum is to evaluate potential business opportunities and provide financial and operational expertise to launch enterprises.

Hiatt currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Terralink Software Systems, Inc., an emerging Maine technology company focused on the hazardous waste information management market. Hiatt also served as Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer of Anacomp, Inc., a $300 million document services company. He also held executive positions at pharmaceutical drug-discovery software developer Molecular Simulations, Inc. and at Language Technology. He holds an M.S. in finance from MIT's Sloan School, and an M.S. in computer science and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT.

Launch Momentum combines strategic consultation with tactical implementation to identify and execute critical success factors, including evaluating technical ideas for commercial potential, developing and executing scalable marketing strategies, and attracting and securing working capital. It recently contracted with Stillwater Scientific Instruments, Inc. of Orono, ME to help commercialize its technology.
